Let’s take a closer look
How it works
The Hutt C6 automatic window cleaning robot gently glides horizontally from top to bottom on the window surfaces as it removes dirt and stains.
This window robot is equipped with a specially designed vacuum motor which powers two cleaning wheels wrapped with micro-nanofiber cleaning cloths. The wheels of the robot rotate in opposite directions as it glides across the glass pane, sucking up dirt and dust as it does so through the mop cloths.
Hutt C6 has a suction power of 3800 Pa, this is stronger than that of most other window cleaning robots and helps it to completely remove any kind of dirt stain on the window, even fruit fly poop, and it leaves no streaks. The C6 will automatically detect various levels of dirt as it cleans and will change its suction force accordingly.
The C6 uses a Z-shaped cleaning path to cover every square inch of the surface, leaving no unclean areas. It has 2 cleaning modes; dry and wet cleaning, and during wet cleaning the window cleaning robot will spray water evenly every 5 seconds to loosen up dirt, while the cleaning mop wipes it off without leaving water stains.
With a full 80 ml water tank, the robot can clean about 70-80㎡. After completely cleaning an entire window, the robot will automatically return to the starting point.
3800Pa Strong Suction
With this much suction force, C6 can firmly stick to both smooth and uneven surfaces. It also uses an artificial intelligence system to automatically detect the degree of dirt and adjust the suction power as needed. The suction power increases when cleaning dirty glass windows for a better cleaning result.
Hutt C6 uses a smart sensor to intelligently navigate window surfaces for better cleaning. It will intelligently plan its cleaning routes, avoid obstacles, detect glass adhesive materials and edge of the window pane, and it automatically slows down and changes direction. And then, after cleaning, go back to where it started.
Dry & Wet Mopping Modes
The C6 has 2 cleaning modes; dry mopping mode and wet mopping mode. With dry mopping mode, the robot will only wipe windows with dry mop pads. You can use the remote control to select wet mopping mode, with the wet mode, the robot will clean your windows with water and a mild cleaning solution.
This robotic window cleaner actually does a nice job, it will clean a pane flawlessly, it even gets the tough stains off without any trouble.
Beside glass windows in high-rise buildings, this robot can also clean a variety of other surfaces beautifully well, including ceramics, mirrors, dining tables, windows, bathroom mirrors, doors, wardrobes, etc.
You can choose non-spray cleaning mode and spray cleaning mode via remote control to meet different needs.
With the wet mode, an independently controlled nano-nozzle will continuously spray water mist on the window every 5 seconds, to help wipe stubborn stains. You can add a washer fluid or other non-aggressive agent to achieve a much more intensive cleaning effect.
Hutt C6 also has dirt-detect sensors, so it auto-detects dirty glass and increases suction power for better cleaning result. This robot is great for vertical frameless glass and a multitude of other surfaces, and it always returns to the starting point after cleaning.
It’s generally a great window cleaner robot and will almost always do a flawless, but it will occasionally miss a few spots.
The major drawback of the Hutt C6 is that it will leave streaks if your window is very dirty. It’s recommended that you do a pre-clean on a very dusty window before introducing the robot to the window. If your window hasn’t been cleaned for very long, you can first run a dry cleaning with the robot, don’t expect anything fantastic. Then change the pad and run another cleaning, you do this a few times to get a terrific result.
Another drawback worth mentioning is that Hutt C6 may not be able to fully clean the edges of square or rectangular windows, since it uses circular cleaning pads, but it gets very close to the edges, so this may not really be a problem. Lastly, this robot is a bit too loud, with a noise level of 65dB.
Ease of set up and use
The Hutt C6 is a fairly straightforward device while having amazing engineering and excellent design elements. It has very simple controls and doesn’t require any kind of technical setup to start cleaning your windows.
To start, attach the cleaning cloths to the cleaning wheels, connect to a power supply, hold the robot on your window and press down the circular button. You also need to securely attach the 5 m safety rope to a heavy item, this is to prevent the robot from falling during an accident or power outage.
Its one-button activation is simple, it also comes with a remote control for added convenience.
Hutt C6 robot window cleaner completely removes the need to set up ladders or use squeegees attached to extension poles, and risk a fall.
If you have a house with large windows or live in a high-rise apartment, then you certainly need one of these gadgets to keep your windows squeaky clean. It’s a sturdily built gadget and works like a charm.
This robot works really well and only about as loud as a small vacuum cleaner, which is not bad, but can be a little loud if you’re sitting next to it. It’s best to set it up and leave the room while it cleans. It uses very little when cleaning, so the water tank will last a long time.
In the event of an unexpected power failure, the C6 will firmly stick on the window for 20 mins to half an hour and constantly outputs an alarm. It has a 650 mAh backup battery which keeps it on for an extra 20 mins in the event of an unexpected power outage. The backup battery has a long charging time of 1 hour.
Not that Hutt C6 must be connected to the electrical power supply when working. The rechargeable battery only acts as a backup. Also, it’s important to always connect the 5M professional climbing safety rope to the robot to avoid accidents.
This robot window cleaner requires very little maintenance; a quick after-cleaning routine will keep it in good condition for a long time. The mopping pads are reusable and should be washed and dried after each cleaning cycle to remove dirt and avoid dust particle buildup.
Remove the cleaning pad and drain the water tank following each cleaning session. If the pads are dirty, wash them and let them fully dry before the next use, they are machine-washable. Ensure that you never use dirty pads to clean to avoid streaks on window panes.
Extra purchases and ongoing costs
Hutt C6 comes with a generous amount of accessories and extra parts, so you’ll likely not need to make any extra purchases for quite some time. The robot comes with 5 extra sets of washable cleaning pads, a measuring bottle, the 6m power cable, 5m safety rope, user’s manual, remote control and a storage box.
So, there is absolutely no need for any extra purchase for the first few months of use. Eventually, you may need to get a few extra microfiber pads and AAA batteries for the remote control. Purchasing more accessories and ongoing costs will be no more $20 in a year, and it has a 1-year repair warranty in case it develops a problem.
A couple of alternatives to consider
Hutt C6 is undoubtedly a good window cleaning robot, but it does have a few flaws that can put you off. For instance, it struggles to properly clean the edges of square or rectangular windows.
If you want a robot that can do the above, then the Xiaomi Hutt W66 is an excellent alternative, and it comes at a good price. Xiaomi Hutt W66 is a square-shaped window cleaner that works beautifully-well on square/rectangular windows, it’s also compatible with all types of glass plus a variety of other surface types.
On the other hand, if you have a smaller budget and would like a window cleaner with a budget-friendly price tag, consider the Sophinique X5. This window robot has a similar oval-shape and design to the Hutt C6 and Hutt DDC55. It comes with an ultrasonic spray nozzle, cleaning solution, AI technology and anti-fall control algorithm, edge-detection sensors, and control via a smartphone app.

However, the Hutt C6 is certainly one you should try on your windows. It does a pretty good job, and you won’t have to strain your shoulders, hurt your back or risk a fall to clean windows. Although it may not beautifully get the corners due to its circular cleaning pads, it does an amazing cleaning job overall.
