Eufy 11S vs 30C | Comparison | Which Robot Is Right For You?

So you too are tired of spending way too much time and effort on cleaning your house all by yourself, and ready to get a robot vacuum cleaner. Good plan. But with so many choices it is hard to choose the right one. 

From the Roborock S6 MaxV to the several different iRobot Roomba vacuum cleaners, there are a number of different ones on the market that you’ll need to sort through if you want to find the best one for your needs.

In this robot vacuum review, I want to compare two of the top-performing budget robot vacuum cleaners, both from Eufy, the Eufy 11S vs 30C. I’ll take a look at the similarities and the differences of each robot vacuum to help you choose between the right Eufy robot for your needs.

From their ability to clear pet hair off your pile carpets and hard floors (and the ingenious BoostIQ RoboVac technology) to wi-fi connectivity, we’ll go through the pros and cons together.

Quick review of the Eufy 11S

The Eufy Boostiq Robovac 11S was widely regarded as the best robot vacuum cleaner in 2019 and still performs very well, so if you’re looking for great quality and price in one go, this is the robot vacuum that you should be looking into. It is an update on a previous model that has been re-engineered to a slimmer figure and has a quieter mode of operation. 

The Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S has a suction power of 1300Pa with an average speed of 10.5 in/s. The BoostIQ RoboVac Technology also enables the suction power to be increased automatically on detecting carpet and harder to vacuum surfaces.

By adjusting the suction power automatically, it means the battery is used more efficiently for longer cleaning periods. One charge can go for up to 100 mins, allowing the high suction power to do the job all in one go in most cases (and reducing it’s work load on bare floors to help save energy). Thanks to this, the BoostIQ Robovac technology is certainly worth getting. From dirt to debris, this Eufy RoboVac vacuum cleaner is up to the task.

While I’m talking about the battery, it’s worth knowing that the vacuum will return to base when the battery is low. However, as it uses sensors, rather than smart mapping, if the base is not in a clear and obvious position, it can struggle to find it.

It has a few other important external features such as infrared sensors for evading obstacles, drop-sensing technology, automatic rechargeability, and a glass-top cover for protection. Thanks to these details, the Eufy RoboVac 11S is both durable and reliable.

Despite its slim profile, it has large wheels that help it to roll over door ledges and other obstacles in order to move more freely and cover a wider range of motion.

A couple of nice features that are missing from this vacuum are a HEPA filter and Wi-Fi connectivity. 

Other features include a remote control with 2AAA batteries, an AC adapter, high performance tools, side brushes, 5 cable ties and an accessible chargeable base. The Eufy 11S also has a 12-month warranty (all of which also comes with the Eufy 11S Max model).

If you’re interested, the Eufy 11S Max is also a great option. This upgrade to the standard RoboVac 11S may charge a higher price, but it’s well worth the extra value thanks to its much greater suction power (a difference between 1,300Pa and 2,000Pa). If you want to make sure that all the dirt and debris is cleared sooner, it might be worth looking into getting an 11S Max.

Quick Eufy RoboVac 30C review

Much of the features in the Eufy Robovac 30C, such as the slim profile and BoostIQ Technology and multiple sensors are the same as the Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S. However, there are quite a few differences with this robot vacuum cleaner that you should consider when choosing one to buy.

One of the stand out features of the Eufy 30C is the fact it has Wi-Fi. You are able to control the robotic vacuum via the Eufy Home app, Amazon’s Alexa, and the Google Assistant.

While many great robot vacuums come with this feature (devices like the Roborock s6 MaxV or several iRobot Roomba vacuum cleaners come to mind), the Robovac 11S doesn’t have this. For many people, having the option to connect can swing the decision between the Robovac 11S vs 30C.

The Eufy 30C comes with some boundary strips so you can block off certain areas of your home that you do not want to be cleaned. These are great for stopping the robot vacuum running into pet food bowls or kids’ toys that could get tangled in the brushes.

The Eufy 30C also comes packaged with an extra set of high-performance filters, remote control with 2 AAA batteries (and better yet, you can buy a lithium ion battery set for a great price from Eufy if you need to), an AC power adapter, a charging base, a cleaning tool, spare side brushes, and a 12-month warranty.

Like with the 11S, the RoboVac 30C also has an upgrade vacuum model too. The Eufy 30C Max has a much higher suction power than the standard version, offering an additional 500Pa.

However, also like the difference between the Eufy 11S Max and its predecessor, the suction on the 30C Max is pretty much the only thing that’s different. So, if this is something that’s important to you, it might be worth considering the upgrade.

The Eufy 11S vs Eufy RoboVac 30C: The comparison

As you can see, you can rely on both vacuum models to get the job done, with high suction power clearing away debris and the BoostIQ technology helping to make sure that you don’t waste any power.

With an understanding of why they’re worth buying, it’s time to look a little more into what each one has to offer and compare the two robot vacuum cleaners to determine which one will be best for your needs.

So, now you know a little more about each model, let’s highlight some of the important aspects you should consider before making your purchase.

Runtime

In terms of runtime, both the Eufy 11S and 30C have the same operation duration which is 100 minutes. They also have the same charging time of 300 minutes and will try their best to automatically dock when low on battery.

Neither of these vacuum models will be able to automatically resume after charging or remember where they were when they stopped.

Size of cleaning area

The 11S and the 30C have the same cleaning area range. These robot vacuum cleaners can cover floor areas of 1292 ft per every 120 meters square. Their cleaning modes also affect the range of operation, so its well worth taking this into consideration before buying. 

Cleaning functionality

Neither of these robot vacuums use smart mapping, they rely on bump and go. However, there are a few different cleaning modes available. Both the 11S and the 30S have auto-clean, spot cleaning, edge mode, and single room cleaning features. Plus, the BoostIQ Robovac technology helps to save battery by increasing suction power when on harder to clean floors.

On the belly of the robot, both vacuum models use a 3 point cleaning system that will loosen dirt before sucking it up into the large dustbin.

Smartphone functionality

The Eufy 30C supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and works with the Eufy mobile app as well as voice controls. This means that you can track the progress of the vacuum, see live updates and also use the “Find Me” that enables the owner to be able to track it down in the occasion that is hidden in a corner or underneath something.

It’s also nice that you can set it cleaning from anywhere in the world. There aren’t many time you will want to do this, but it is fun to tell your parents you just need to vacuum your house while visiting them for dinner. Having these benefits and the great smartphone functionality

The Eufy 11S has no Wi-Fi connection, which is something that you may wan to keep in mind when buying if connectivity is a feature you want.

Scheduling

Both of these vacuums have this feature available. However, it is much easier to set up on the Eufy 30C due to the app connectivity. Setting timing on the Eufy 11S can only be set on a 24 hour basis and can be fiddly to do as there is no screen, you have to rely on counting beeps.

Suction

The 30C has a stronger suction power of 1500 Pa when compared to that of the 11S which has a suction power of 1300 Pa. This ensures good performance on bare floors and medium pile carpets. Both have intelligence features that enable them to increase these respective suction powers when it is required.

Boundary Strips

The Eufy 30C is able to detect magnetic boundary strips which enable you to mark off areas of your house while cleaning. I have used them in the past to mark off my toddlers’ room as I couldn’t face picking up all those toys before vacuuming. It’s also good to mark pet-friendly areas, where the food or water bowls are.

The fact that the RoboVac 30C comes with boundary strips is certainly a benefit. Especially when considering the fact that the Eufy 11S does not have this feature.

Filter

The Eufy 11S has a high-efficiency triple filter whereas the Eufy 30C contains a HEPA filter for better performance. both of these filters are

Size and structure 

Both vacuum models have a sleek thin design. They are just 2.65 inches in thickness and they weigh around the range of 5.75lbs. Amazingly they both still manage to fit a 600ml dustbin, up there with some of the largest on the market.

They share the similarity of a primary V-shaped brush roll and two side brushes. While they both lack a resume function, they can both recharge automatically and have the same battery life of 2600mAh.

In both vacuums, there are laser sensors for localization, drop detection sensors and obstacle detection sensors. 

Pricing 

While price ranges may differ according to where you buy, the 11S is generally cheaper with an estimated average of about $200

As you would expect, with the upgraded features, the 30C model is more expensive, usually found between $60 – $80 more than the Eufy 11S.

Eufy 11S Max and Eufy 30C Max – are they worth it?

While these two robot vacuums are certain impressive and an excellent choice for a wide variety of people, you may also be curious to see what else is on offer.

A good example of another Eufy RoboVac vacuum model that you may want to take a closer look into is the Eufy 11S Max.

Not only is this particular robot vacuum great value for money, but it’s also quite an improvement from its predecessor in a few ways, so if you’ve got a higher budget, it may be worth taking a closer look into what the Eufy 11S Max has to offer.

It might also be worthwhile to check out the Eufy RoboVac 30C Max. As one of the brands most powerful robot vacuum cleaners, you can rest assured that there’s quite a lot of suction power on offer from the 30C Max models.

A couple of it’s main features include a decent sized dust bin, adjustable suction options and works well with pet hair. Not only is it an improvement over the RoboVac 30C model, but it still offers excellent cleaning prowess for a fair price, making it a great value robot vacuum.

11S Max vs 30C Max

If you’re thinking of picking between the two upgraded vacuum cleaners of these Eufy devices, you may be wondering which one you should choose. After all, you’re going to want to make sure that you’re getting the most out of your purchases!

Both the Eufy 11S Max and the 30C Max are great, and they’re actually fairly similar in a number of ways too. The capacity of their dust bins is the same, a good quality motor, remote control, different cleaning modes, BoostIQ RoboVac technology – the list goes on. So what are the key differences that set them apart from one another?

Much like with the Eufy Robovac 11S and 30C, there’s a difference between features like the magnetic boundaries, Wi-Fi connectivity and price that you may want to keep in mind while buying.

Who are the Eufy robot vacuums for?

Both of the Eufy 11S and 30C are at the budget end of robot vacuum cleaners meaning they are missing a few nice features, but both offer excellent value.

I would recommend these models for people who may have never owned a robot vacuum before and are wondering if they would find one useful.

I’d also add that due to the lack of smart mapping and intelligent features such as restarting from the same place it stopped previously, this is better suited to smaller homes. 

Finally, while they do an OK job on medium pile carpet, they are better suited to hard floors and low-pile carpet.

Thanks to the stronger suction power of the 30C, this robot vacuum can often be better suited to cleaning more floors (although in terms of 11S Max and 30C Max, both have 2000Pa, so both of them are even more capable of cleaning on debris and pet hair on all kinds of floors).

If you want to check out other Eufy robot vacuum models, it might be worth considering products like the Eufy 15C .

The Eufy 15C has a lot in common with the two robots mentioned in this article, offering BoostIQ Robovac technology, the Find My Robot feature on the Eufy Home mobile app and 1300Pa suction power.

In terms of both features and price, the Eufy 15C robot vacuum is somewhere between the Robovac 11S and 30C, so it’s well worth taking this model (or even the Eufy 15C Max) into consideration.

So which is better? The Eufy Robovac 11S or the Eufy 30C

These robot vacuums do all of the basics pretty much the same. They have the same great design, cleaning performance, large dustbin, runtime and return to charge.

In my opinion, there are really only two stand out differences between these vacuum cleaners, the Wi-Fi connectivity, and the ability to use boundary strips. To be honest, while they are nice to have, neither has a huge impact on the actual cleaning performance of the robot vacuum cleaner.

However, one huge benefit of the 30C Eufy robot vacuum is the much easier scheduling. I have my robot vacuum scheduled to run at 3am every night. While this is possible on the 11S, it is a bit finickity to set up and using the smartphone app with the 30C just makes it all so much simpler.

Based on the fact that you will be using the robot vacuum cleaner for a couple of years at least, I really don’t see that $80 is too much to pay to include the extra features and upgraded filter, so overall I would recommend the Eufy 30C.

However, that is not to say I am not recommending the Eufy 11S. Both of these Eufy vacuum cleaners are extremely well made and popular robot vacuums that deliver outstanding value for money. They may not be the best of the best, but for their price and everything that they offer, they’re certainly a top tier budget smart vacuum.
