Prime Day 2021 will take place on June 21 and 22 (June 21 at 12:01 AM PDT through June 22 at 11:59 PM PDT) What is Amazon Prime Day? Prime Day is the once-a-year discount extravaganza offered up by Amazon. It can easily be compared to Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or Singles Day in China, where for a short period, massive discounts are offered. But there is a catch, to take advantage of Amazon Prime Day you have to be a member of Amazon Prime, the shopping websites subscription service. Amazon Prime subscription costs $119 per year, or you can choose to pay $12.99 per month, I’ll talk more about the benefits in a moment. However, there is a way you can enjoy Prime Day without paying for Prime! If you register for Prime now, you can enjoy a 30-day FREE trial, and as long as you cancel before the 30 days are up, you won’t pay anything. What time does amazon prime day start? As Amazon Prime Day 2021 is based on the Pacifc Time Zone, it will vary slightly depending on where you are. Prime Day starts midnight PDT, so that would mean: Eastern Time: 3 amCentral Time: 2 amMountain Time: 1 amPacific Time: Midnight So that means Prime day starts in the UK the day after at 8am. How can I take advantage of Prime Day? As mentioned above, you need to be a member of their Prime subscription service to be able to get any of the discounts being offered. I would recommend signing up now for the free 30-day Amazon Prime trial, then you can take advantage of Prime Day and then decide if you want to continue with your Prime subscription or cancel within the 30 days for no charge. What are the benefits of joining Prime apart from Prime Day deals? I actually joined this was and never actually left, so in a way, Prime Day won me over. The greatest benefit comes to regular users of Amazon in the savings you can find on shipping costs. If I need something for the home, even something such as a pack of nappies for my toddler. I can hop online, order and they will be here the next day. Most of us know that the online price is usually cheaper, but often the shipping cost take away those savings, with Prime, you don't have to worry about that anymore. And depending on where you live, you even get free same-day delivery!
