The Samsung Jetbot mop features Dual Spin technology that drives both motors’ rotation up to 5,500 rpm, allowing the robot to move, spin, and clean simultaneously. Combined with the suction, created downward pressure for more efficient cleaning.
The cleaning performance of the Samsung Jetbot mop is mediocre at best. The device does a very good job of cleaning and dusting along edges and baseboards, but it doesn’t remove more stubborn dirt and grime that much.
The water delivery system will ensure that the robotic mop will not dry out during a full cleaning run which will last about 100 minutes before requiring a recharge that takes a bit over two hours. Unfortunately, the run time just isn’t long enough for larger homes. It does have both auto cleaning and manual cleaning solution.
Overall, if you are a fan of the Samsung brand and a loyal customer, then I would say go ahead and buy the Jetbot robot mop, you will certainly enjoy having it. But, if you’re not in a rush, maybe hold off for a while until either the price comes down or an upgraded version with some of the kinks worked out becomes available.

How it works
The Samsung Jetbot Mop robot vacuum represents flexibility at your fingertips, with eight cleaning modes. Choose Focus Cleaning Mode to concentrate on a particular area, or let the Jetbot Mop move around freely on Random cleaning mode. Switch modes from anywhere in your house with the handy remote control.
It works on a Lithium-Ion battery with cleaning modes such as; auto cleaning, manual cleaning, spot, straight lines, edge mode, and intensive cleaning, which is a 50-minute cleaning cycle, and random pattern cleaning. There is also a Hand Mode setting available for floor-to-wall cleaning.
The recharging time is 150 minutes, and the device has a battery life of up to 100 minutes on standard mode.
All you need to do is make sure the water tank is full, put it on the floor and let it go.

The Samsung Jetbot Mop is so versatile; it lets you clean by hand where other mops can’t reach. Hand Mode lets you manually clean where you want, remove stains on kitchen and bathroom tiles, or wipe off marks on a wall.
Performance
This is where it gets frustrating. While it does an OK job of cleaning the floor, it struggles with stubborn stains and the routes are just not that smart.
A couple of other grumbles are that it needs to be plugged in to recharge, it doesn’t come with a docking base that you can simply drop it into, or … even better … it drops itself into. While this may seem like a small gripe, this is the kind of thing you are buying robots for, so less work is more appealing.
Fundamentally though, it does what it says, it cleans floors so there are certainly some good points. The fact it has a handle so you can use it on vertical surfaces is a nice detail as well as having different types of cleaning pads.
Note: The Samsung Jetbot weighs 6lb (2.7kgs), so not too heavy, but will definitely be a good tricep workout if cleaning walls for a long period.
Ease of set up and use
Ensure your Samsung Jetbot Mop robot vacuum is fully charged before beginning a cleaning cycle. Plugin and charge the Jetbot Mop until the LED indicator light turns off.
Before you start cleaning, you’ll need to remove the plastic packaging film, attach the mop pads, and fill the water supply tanks.
Next, you’ll need to attach the mopping pads to the water supply kits. Please make sure the mop pads are clean before using them. Two types of mopping pads are included:
- Mother yarn pads (gray): Perfect for cleaning small, dusty areas and absorbing spills.
- Microfiber pads mop (green): Ideal cleaning solution for cleaning hardwood and tile floors. (handheld cleaner)
Just attach the microfiber pad to the water supply kits using the Velcro sides then fill the water supply kits with clean water. Do this by simply opening the rubber cap on the water supply kit, pouring in the water, and closing the cap.
Note: Do not use any other liquids when filling the water supply kits.
Once full, attach the water supply kits to the Jetbot Mop’s bottom by carefully pressing down and turning them to the side.
You’ll hear a click when the water supply kits are attached.
Place your new mopping robot on the floor and press and hold the operation button on the Jetbot Mop for two seconds until you hear a beep, and the light stays on.
If you want to change the cleaning mode, it is easiest to use the remote control that comes with it.
Reliability
There are no problems with the reliability of the device. As you would expect from Samsung products, it is a quality machine that is built to be solid. The only disappointment comes from the very average performance.
Ongoing maintenance
As with most robots, there is a little maintenance required, but not too much.
Just make sure you follow the manufacturer’s instructions and wet the mop pads before each use and clean them regularly.
When it is finished, empty the water that is leftover in the tank and give your Jetbot a quick visual inspection to see if there is anything caught in the motors such as long hair or thread wrapped around it. Also, give the sensor a quick wipe in case there is any dust on there that could affect its vision.

There is no doubt that the Samsung Jet is a great-looking device that will certainly impress your friends and make life easier. It is not a device meant for major cleaning, it will mop automatically and is good in terms of daily floor maintenance but there is a lot of room for improvement.
While great for smaller areas, the smart navigation isn’t all that smart, so when tackling large rooms there may well be spots that are missed. Also, the actual cleaning performance is a little underwhelming.
It is a solid product and nearly great. If Samsung continues to invest in the Jetbot, just a tweak to the performance, the inclusion of WiFi and smart mapping, and an auto-dock feature would make this an amazon addition to and smart home.
As it stands, if you live in a flat, and are a Samsung fan, then this could be a great purchase; however, if you live in a larger area, you may want to consider the iBraava Jet M6.
