All About Amazon Prime Day
Amazon Prime Day is a day of shopping where Prime members can enjoy some amazing savings across the whole of the Amazon website. We want to be at the front of the queue to bring you the best Amazon Prime Day deals in 2022.
In 2022, we will once again be collating the best Roomba Prime Day deals, as well as many other brands or robot vacuums and Household help robots such as robot window cleaners and robotic pool cleaners. But it’s not just home help we deal in, we’ll also be scouring Amazon for the best prime day deals on robot toys for kids, big kids (yep looking at you there) and even robot toys for pets.
However, much like Black Friday, the deals will not be unveiled until the day starts, so when it rolls around, be sure to return to this post as I will be updating them and sharing them with you (bookmark now ?).
Until then, I’ll just whet your appetite with some Prime Day information and FAQs, and a look back at some of the amazon prime day best deals from previous years.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2022?
The 48-hour Amazon Prime Day 2022 event kicks off July 12 at 3 a.m. EDT and runs through July 13 for Prime members
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Prime Day is the once-a-year discount extravaganza offered up by Amazon. It can easily be compared to Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or Singles Day in China, where for a short period, massive discounts are offered.
But there is a catch, to take advantage of Amazon Prime Day you have to be a member of Amazon Prime, the shopping websites subscription service. Amazon Prime subscription costs $119 per year, or you can choose to pay $12.99 per month, I’ll talk more about the benefits in a moment.
However, there is a way you can enjoy Prime Day without paying for Prime! If you register for Prime now, you can enjoy a 30-day FREE trial, and as long as you cancel before the 30 days are up, you won’t pay anything.

What time does Amazon Prime Day Start?
As Amazon Prime Day 2022 is based on the Pacific Time Zone, it will vary slightly depending on where you are.
Prime Day starts midnight PDT, so that would mean:
- Eastern Time: 3 am
- Central Time: 2 am
- Mountain Time: 1 am
- Pacific Time: Midnight
So that means Prime day starts in the UK the day after at 8am.
How can I take advantage of Prime Day?
As mentioned above, you need to be a member of their Prime subscription service to be able to get any of the discounts being offered.
I would recommend signing up now for the free 30-day Amazon Prime trial, then you can take advantage of Prime Day and then decide if you want to continue with your Prime subscription or cancel within the 30 days for no charge.
What are the benefits of joining Prime apart from Prime Day deals?
I actually joined this was and never actually left, so in a way, Prime Day won me over. The greatest benefit comes to regular users of Amazon in the savings you can find on shipping costs.
If I need something for the home, even something such as a pack of nappies for my toddler. I can hop online, order and they will be here the next day. Most of us know that the online price is usually cheaper, but often the shipping cost take away those savings, with Prime, you don’t have to worry about that anymore. And depending on where you live, you even get free same-day delivery!
There are a couple of other benefits which include access to Amazon Video, stream exclusive series and movies in a similar way to Netflix. It also gives you discounts on hiring movies if you wanted to rent the latest blockbusters.
Finally, you also get access to Prime Music with over 2,000,000 songs available for streaming. Now honestly, I don’t use this so much as it’s not a complete streaming service such as Spotify. If you want access to all of Amazon’s music, you have to buy their music-specific package, but there is still a good chunk of stuff packaged in the basic Prime subscription.
